Dr. Jonathan Amgar

Dr. Jonathan Amgar was born in Montreal, Canada, where he built a foundational career as a Licensed Veterinary Technician for over nine years before pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. Dr. Amgar brings a remarkably diverse clinical background to the team, with strong professional interests that include internal medicine, endocrinology, clinical pathology, dermatology, dentistry, and exotic pocket pet medicine.

At home, Dr. Amgar is enjoying an exciting new relationship with someone he happily met while they were both working within the veterinary field. Together, they share a deep love for animals and manage a wonderful, lively mini-sanctuary that includes seven dogs, two cats, one turtle, and three small mammals.

When he is not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Amgar loves staying active with outdoor activities, testing out new recipes while baking, and relaxing with his fiancée and their beloved animals.
