Shayla Jenkins

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, alongside her brother, Shayla discovered her passion for animal care early on, entering the veterinary field shortly after completing high school. To formalize her dedication, she attended the College of Southern Nevada, where she earned her Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology.

Shayla joined Centennial Hills Animal Hospital and stepped into the role of Head Veterinary Technician in 2021. As a natural leader, she oversees the technical team with a focus on mentorship, high standards of patient care, and fostering a collaborative, efficient clinic environment. Alongside her leadership responsibilities, she brings advanced clinical expertise to the practice, with special interests in veterinary dentistry and internal medicine.

At home, Shayla's life is beautifully full and supported by her loving husband and their two beautiful boys. Her bustling household is completed by a large, beloved canine family that includes MaMa, Athena, Mable, Maverick, Chase, and Mother Goose. When she isn't managing the nursing team or caring for patients, Shayla loves spending quality time with her family, line dancing, and exploring the great outdoors hiking with her pack.
